A working journal of a family of five from my perspective as a stay at home mommy. Life moves fast and its easy to forget the moments you think you'll remember for a lifetime. This is my attempt at capturing some of those moments. I hope my kids will enjoy reading about their childhood one day....

Caribbean Cruise May 18th - NASSAU, BAHAMAS
Another gorgeous day with perfect weather and the same crystal blue water. Unlike at Coco Cay where we docked in the middle of an ocean and took a ferry to the island, here we were docked right onto land. It was so cool because there were several cruise ships docked in the port. Oh, the photographic potential!!! We were warned of peddlers in town, but we were amused at how literally every few steps another person was there to offer you water, hair braiding, beaded necklaces....you name it. We went and did a glass bottom boat tour. Not much of a bottom view, but it was a narrated tour around a part of the island which included a detailed tour of Paradise Island, where many superstars have vacation homes along the waterfront. I've included some of them in the pictures. Honestly, it was way more interesting than the chunks of bread they threw into the water to stir up the fish! We had to be back on the boat by 245, so unfortunately we barely got to do more than take our boat tour and indulge the kids in some local Burger King. I wish we had more time to spend here. We barely got to explore any of the island. I was looking forward to another awesome beach experience.... Oh well, there's always next time! Instead we got to hang with lots of cool people up by the pool and enjoy some drinks while the kiddos enjoyed playing with some other cruisers their size!
