Stealing a Whisper of Time: School Xmas Performance

Today was the big day! The kids first time having a performance. Our first time getting to sit in an audience and watch them. It was so much fun. The morning started out rough and Gray wasn't particularly happy about wearing his nice clothes and was really unhappy when I pulled out the camera. Kinsley was more than happy to get all dolled up and even wore a clip in her hair! She looked absolutely precious. I never get to see her dressed up all girly! Maybe she'll finally let me start doing it more.

The program itself was so cute. The 2 year olds came in first and sang some songs. They were hilarious! After they finished and went to sit with their parents, the 4 year olds filed in all wearing little nativity costumes. They looked great. Shortly after the 3 year olds came in all wearing choir gowns. After they were arranged on the staircase, they sang a list of songs together. Gray, mr. musical, was singing and leading the hand movements. Kinsley was in a bit of a daze for a while. For as much of a performer as she is, she had a little bit of stage fright today. She did eventually loosen up and get into the singing. At the end of the show, Santa came in and the kids had a chance to sit with him for a picture. Kinsley thought the world of that. She hasn't stopped talking all day about how she saw Santa. Gray, however was totally freaked out. It's pretty obvious by the look on his face in the picture, but he was not comfortable at all! He's never liked Santa. Oh well, there's always next year!
